Its not granted that if u r not downloading any stuff from net u will be not infected with virus/spyware..

of course you can get infected as long as you use the internet, just by going to some site that may send a virus to you just by opening their web page, but if you dont download anything you will avoid a lot of viruses. try downloading a virus protection program, like avg or avast. hope this helps, good luck.
yep.. if you visit a site that's infected or is made to infect the visitors' computers.. there are such sites, yknow.. like, u visit this one site and then a few minutes later you'll get these popups, some even contain porn stuff.. it's disgusting..
