Zone Alarm Security Suite Pro scans for all of them. There is SpySweeper that goes for spyware and adware, I think. Spybot Search and Destroy scans for spyware. TrendMicro has a free online scan for both.
Here is my standard answer to the spyware problem; it will not resolve your antivirus program but others have answered that.

You need to clean out the spyware on your PC and to do that you need to install some software, mostly free. I suggest you go to Google and enter each of the following name (one at a time) and download the following which are free, instll them and run all of them: Ad-Aware SE Personal; SpywareBlaster; and Microsoft AntiSpyware. Be sure to get his updates and replace your old Host with the newest each time he updates it. Go to this site and download WinPatrol and also install it; it will notify you anytime any program tries to make a change in your system setting: http://www.winpatrol.com/ If you are willing to spend $30, buy Ewido Security Suite. Forgot one other that is free: SpywareGuard and SpywareGuard LiveUpdate; there are very infrequent updates

but keep the program installed; this program in ONLY RUN ONCE, not daily.
i use Armor2net Personal Firewall and it works fine

zonealarm is for stopping popup.

therefore combination of both is best

run zonealarm during online

and offline just run Armor2net Personal Firewall

to remove any spyware that may have fooled the zonealarm which is very rare.
