Google offers a nice, free pack of software that includes both an antivirus and an antispyware scanner. I had good luck cleaning up my computer and bringing it back to life using these tools. Plus, you can trust it since it comes from Google and not some no-name software company.

Get AVG and Spybot search and destroy and scan your computer!

Search for them on Google
You will need a program like Spybot Search%26Destroy. Download it here: http://www.spybot.info/

It's pretty easy to use. The program practically deletes the adware and spyware on its own.
Anti spyware - Use a combination of Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware.....both are free
